My case status changed AP to Issued. It means I can be happy . Right?

2011 - Met hubby online and became friends
Early 2013 - Confessed our love for each other * Late 2013 - I got pregnant with our daughter
2014 - Our baby was born in Athens, Greece and completed our family. We now have two boys and a girl!! 2013 - 2015 - Looking for jobs in Greece, none were available (due to socioeconomic crisis) 2015 - Decided only way to feed our family was to immigrate and started the process December 2015 - Got married (Greece has a LOT of red tape for foreigners marrying Greeks)
January 2016 - Finished gathering all documents and getting them translated
* * DCF in Athens, Greece * *
28th January 2016 - Finally filed I-130s
29th June - ISSUED!!!!!!1st July - Visa packages and passports delivered to DHL.4th July - Visas in hand! CU in two weeks USA!!
19th July- POE Detroit. All went well!! (excluding our screaming, jet lagged toddler!!)

 

After Arrival in the US

September 2016 - Hubby is diagnosed with congestive heart failure
October - February 2016 - Battle with drug use, overdosing, bringing home a tiny paycheck

March - July 2017 - I am working 80 hr weeks to make ends meet. Discovered hubby's affair. Still overdoses and is hospitalized. Has quit working all together.
July - October 2017 - Marriage counseling. Revealed hubby has "several" mental conditions. Is started on several mental meds.

October 2017 - Got accepted for a college course. Got better job to help raise my kids.

October 2017 - March 2018 - Situation at home is toxic. He files for divorce.

July 2018 - Divorce is final. I have full custody of our daughter.

 

ROC (GC expires July 19th 2018)

July 16th - Package for ROC is delivered to the CA service center (divorce waiver).

August 30th - NOA1 received with 18 month extension (fee waiver approved).

March 28th 2019 - Biometrics

August 8th 2019 - Case Approved No RFE No Interview - 10 year GC in production

N400 (Online - Detroit, MI office)
June 6th 2023 - Applied for naturalization under 5 year rule.
June 7th 2023 - Application received/Biometric will be reused.
June 16th - Interview scheduled.
July 27th - Upcoming interview.



**Our DCF journey to an IV took 5 months and 1 day from turning in the I-130 to getting "Issued"**

Welcome to our madhouse! :D

You can select my Timeline and read my consulate review. My interview was on May 23, 2016. The interviewers are very friendly so there is NO need to be nervous. Just relax, you'll be fine and I can see you coming back on here to post that you were approved!

Guys the released the medical report papers to us in a sealed envelope

He didn't tell me what he wrote about our son or if we "passed" the medical.

Our interview is tomorrow. Please please keep us in your thoughts tonight. My little boys are SO nervous one of them cried for half an hour over it, thinking he will mess up after we explained what will happen tomorrow.

It brings me joy to see so many members getting their heart's desire to be with their loved ones after this grueling process (L)

With that said, congrats to all of your who have gotten approved, those who have received case complete (welcome, welcome!) and those who have gotten their long-awaited interview dates at the embassies. :goofy:

To those in AP (like me) and those who are still waiting on interview dates....chin up, our time is coming soon! :yes:

It amazes me to see those who have gotten approved make speedy arrangements to be in the USA and have their POEs within a week or 2 of receiving their visas and passports back from the embassy. I say I am amazed bcuz I can't just "pick up and leave"....even if I wanted to :( I'd have some property to dispose of prior to me migrating and then there's the financial side of things. It may take me and my kids approx 1-1.5mths to finally be in the US with my husband.....but God is good and never sets things in motion before it is due -_-

Also, I got a question about paying for the green card.

Must I pay it before POE?

Does it matter if I pay it only a day before POE or the earlier the better??

No you do not have to pay it before.

Guys I am freaking out. The doctor is not keen to pass us on the medical. My 10 yo has dyslexia. Doctor asked for his papers and I sent them. He didn't them because it uses the blanket term "learning difficulties" so my son would receive more help.

So we haven't passed the medical yet and our interview is less than 24 hrs away.

I am freaking out! :(

Help...

Please don't worry. No one is getting denied over a learning disability.

Diseases that are communicable, contagious. If you are a danger to yourself or others. That's what gets you ban.

I'm super excited people..i had my interview yesterday and I was approved,spent like just 2mins on the interview..God is wonderful..congratulations to everybody who have been approved and success to those. Waiting to have their interviews

Had interview. No approval. They want two more i-864a's. My mother in law only sent one but it is 3 cases. When my husband asked her if we are otherwise approved she said she can't guarantee it and to send her the paper and we shall hear of their decision later. :/
