I have never had an issue buying tickets on a 1-way basis (I tend to get them cheaper that way too! :D ) I guess it all depends on the airline but I buy directly from the airline's website and you can try contacting the customer service section if you encounter any issues.

Further more, once he arrives at his POE, he is processed and his passport is stamped with the temporary 1-year green card stamp/foil. The immigrant visa is for his intent to live and work in the USA....having a 1-way ticket to the US is not gonna raise any issues since your hubby will have his visa packet given to him by the embassy ;)

Thank you Amadia! I appreciate your help!

It's mt an issue. Only Visitor are required to have to buy a rounds trip ticket. If its cheaper sure buy it and be sure to cancel. Not usually the case I bought my husband on a website and he is flying Emirates. The CBP hardly is going to care that a immigrant doesn't have a round trip ticket why would they. :goofy:

Thanks for your help Dwheels! I appreciate it!

Approved!!!! I had written a little bit earlier but didn't have a chance to recap fully. First of all, really thankful to God and everyone here for their prayers and wishing everyone else quick approval as well!

So hubby's interview was at the London embassy at 1 pm today. He got there around 45 min earlier and went in. It was a pretty straight forward interview. He was texting me when he could, letting me know he had firstly submitted the docs asked for at the first window which included DS confirmation, police report, birth cert and confirmation of how he wanted his documents to be returned. Then he waited to be called up for his interview. He got around 6 or 7 questions about how we met, when we got married and towards the end it was cute because they CO asked him what annoyed him most about me and vice versa lol...I hadn't heard of such a questions before but he said the CO was smiling when he asked and it was all really pleasant. Hubby went on about our relationship lol and CO was like, ok ok you're approved lol.

So a couple of interesting things hubby shared with me that I wanted to share with you guys. He was handed the packet to bring with him when he lands in the states before he even had his interview (which means the decision was already made) and the other is that he wasn't asked to pay for his visa b/c I believe I had paid that fee to NVC already but wasn't sure so he had taken money but it turns out I did pay it....gosh its hard to keep track of everything and maybe I'm rambling but I was just soooooooooooooooooo happy to get that call that I've been waiting for, for literally everrrrr.

Thank you God and praying for the rest of you guys too. Oh and he was told he would get his passport back in two weeks, but I'm hoping it's sooner since everyone else seems to be getting it back within a week:)

Congratulations that's such great news!!!! And thanks for the detailed report :)

A*P*P*R*O*V*E*D!!!

Sooo happy - still can't believe it ?

Will post a detailed review later when I'm home. Still got 2 hrs to kill in Frankfurt.

Yaaay, I'm so happy for you!!! I can only imagine the relief after being so nervous! Congratulations :)

APPROVED

Thank you to all of you on VJ who have been very supportive and helped provide so much information to make this long process go as smoothly as possible and help out with those few hiccups here and there! For those of you still waiting for your interviews, the wait is hard, but the results are so rewarding!

LinJoe you are next!

My husband's interview was scheduled at 8:45 AM. The whole process took about 2 to 2.5 hours. He said it was a pleasant experience with the majority of the time waiting in the waiting area for his turn. The total interview time was about 5-10 minutes.

He was asked:

-How did we meet and when?

-What was the connection that led us to meet or introduced us to each other?

-Why did we get married in Cyprus?

-Why have we not registered our marriage in Lebanon?

-Where do we plan to have our religious Church marriage, in Lebanon or USA?

He had lots of evidence with him from pictures to trip itineraries, boarding passes, a joint bank account statement, printed WhatsApp conversations from the day we met to present time, etc. The CO only asked to see pictures and he said she didn't even look at them, she just wanted to verify that he had them with him.

After all of the questions were answered, my husband asked the CO if it's approved and she said, "yes, of course!" She then wrote up the slip for him to come back and pick up his passport and he was on his way!

Congratulations, what great news!!! Thanks for the details as well :)

OK, so here´s the detailed report about my interview:

My appointment was set for 9:30 am and i´ve arrived at the embassy at 8:45. First i had to go to a counter outside to pick up a number. The lady asked what my appointment was for (which visa category) and asked to see my passport and the DS-260 confirmation page.

Then it was time to go through security. Had to put my wristwatch and belt into a plastic bag before entering the building. At the screening they told me that i can´t take the CD with the X-Rays inside so i left it with the security guards and picked it up afterwards. Frankfurt Embassy does not allow cell phones by the way. Some ppl who had theirs with them had to bring them back to their car.

After entering the building i went to the reception desk where i was greeted, asked for my number and given a sheet of paper which explained what was going to happen on interview day and some kind of FAQ about what happens after the visa is issued and such.

Then i had to go to counter 22 which is pretty much the cashier´s counter. The nice gentleman asked for my number, 1 passport picture, my DS-260 confirmation page and wanted to know if i have registered my address with ustraveldocs. Then he told me to take a seat in the waiting area for immigrant visas and wished me good luck.

I was waiting for about 30 minutes when my number was called up and i was greeted by a nice lady (ceseworker) at the counter. First she asked when i would like to travel to the US to which i replied that i would like to be there for our 1st anniversary which is june 30th. She smiled and said "I can totally understand that!" Then she asked for my phone number in case they need to reach me. Then she took my fingerprints and confirmed if my address in the US, Name and DOB was correct. She also asked for the following original documents:

- my birth certificate

- my police record

- our marriage license

Shortly after i´ve handed her all documents she said "I think chances for you two to spend your anniversary together are pretty good!"

SIDENOTE: When she was flipping through our file i did notice a big "Approved" stamp on one of the forms. So i guess the decision was already made before i even got there.

Then she explained to me how the SSN thingy works. According to her it should be assigned automatically since i did enter that in my DS-260. But she also said that it would not hurt to check with the local SSN office just in case once i´m there. She also handed me a document with information on the SSN process. I also got the flyer about my rights in case of domestic violence.

After maybe 10 minutes ago we were done and she told me to have a seat and that a vice consul would conduct my interview shortly.

Finally i got called to another counter for my interview. First i had ti take the oath and my fingerprints were confirmed. The questions were:

- when and where did you meet your husband?

- what hapened after that?

- when did you decide to get married?

- when and where did you get married?

- when would you like to travel?

That was it. She returned my original documents to me and simply said "Alright, everything looks good; you´ll get your visa within 6 to 10 days". Me: "Does that mean i´m approved??" Her: "Yes, you are!". Me: :jest:

She did not ask for any additional documents (not even the IRS transcript for 2015 which NVC told me to bring) or proof of relationship.

(PS: No one asked for the P4 letter by the way)

So yeah...90 minutes from arrival at the embassy until departure. Most of the time ws spent waiting; interview not even lasted 10 minutes! Everything went really smooth; surprisingly all employees i´ve had contact with were germans except for the one that interviewed me.

Within an hour after the interview CEAC has updated to Administrative Processing.

I´m glad we´ve made it to the entire process without any major issues. And i am even more glad i did find this forum because without all the great ppl in here who answer questions, create guides, post their experience and give endless support i know we would have struggled.

So a HUGE thank you to all of you! And no, this ain´t goodbye i will still be posting cause after all - POE is still coming up (planned for june 25th) and i will be sure to report, Especially since i might have to update my address there so i´ll let you know how that goes.

Also once again congrats to everyone who also got approved and for you still waiting: Hold your head up and stick with the forum; can´t go wrong with that!
