Nbc?

Hi all

So after a long and stressful wait, we still haven't received an NoA1 but we received a letter with the contact numbers and addresses on of USCIS

It also says NBC. I've heard of our cases being forwarded to NVC but what's the NBC, and why are cases sent there for the i129F for a K1

The letter you received is the NOA1.

NBC = National Benefits Center; your cases are sent to NBC because NBC processes k1 petitions. Only after your case is approved, it will be sent to NVC.

Ohh okay, thanks for making that clear. There is no receipt number on there though, so we can't track it :-(

What did you file and where did you send it to?

K1 cases don't go to NBC. They go to CSC.

It's a decision USCIS makes where to send to, not us.

And I can tell you emphatically that as of early 2015, the only service center handling K1 cases is CSC. This is additionally reflected on the USCIS chart of what the NBC handles. The OP needs to clarify exactly what petition they sent, where they sent it to, and what the notice is they received. A notice with ''contacts and addresses on it'' is not a normal letter for a K1 applicant to receive from any service center.

And I have never heard of the NBC dealing with I-129F petitions.
