N-400 June 2016 Filer

i read one of the May filers post and he said that he called in uscis office to inquire about his case and they told him you probably wont get your interview letter for another 3 months. hes from Houston,TX, like me!! so now i am worried . why Houston office takes that long? does anyone have any idea? i applied on June 1st btw.

According to your Houston USCIS field office N-400 processing time as of August 31st is February 23, 2016. So, that makes it about 3 more months processing time for Houston filers. You'll get a can response when you called them and they won't tell you the reason.

For us Los Angeles field office is 5 months processing time. So, we're waiting for notification by email or mail for interview either the end of this month or in December. Most likely, it will be in January 2017...

Houston office is one of the busiest offices they have in normal years and with the IOE transfer, im sure that has caused them significant delays.

Waiting patiently also... checking the USCIS site and clicking that check my case online for a quick check of status every few days....

I dont often go to the full online profile as its a little more work:)

Yeah, I know right. I check that online status every single day!!!

I was wondering if everything(naturalization thingy) gets done before march. My baby is due in first week of April'17 and all this naturalisation process is making me more anxious!

i checked the April thread and 2 out of 3 Houston filers got their Interview done in November and got their oath letters same day. they are having their interviews and oath ceremony both done in this month.

quick question: I am waiting for n-400 interview and still haven't received interview letter yet. Can i travel outside of US while my n-400 is in process? What about travel outside of country after n-400 interview if decision can not be made right away?

BTY, my biometric was done in June and n-400 was sent on end of may of this year.

yes, you can travel while your N-400 is being processed.

Just be sure to update your travel outside the US and bring it with you along with the relevant pages in your passport to the interview...

Hello butters123. I'm wondering too about Los Angeles office processing. Last time I called uscis, the officer told me it's 5 months process for LA and November is should be the month for getting response for the interview date. He said November months isn't finished yet, so just wait till the end of the month. I check daily my elis account but don't see any movement.

Had my interview yesterday. Very low stress, the interviewer was friendly and the test was as easy as everyone expects. Looking forward to getting my oath ceremony notice. (There is no change in my online account yet.)
