Joint Sponsor Letter?

Hi guys,

My wife and I have everything we need to submit our packet to the NVC except we are waiting on the AoS. Before my joint sponsor mails it off to us, my wife has told me that in addition to the I-864, we should ask for a signed letter as well. Fellow Chinese applicants are telling her this, by the way. Something along the lines of a cover letter, or basically a letter version of the AoS.

Has anyone needed this? Is there a template or an example that can be shared?

Hi!
Our joint sponsor sent something like that too. We were NOT told we needed one but we used it as proof of re-establishing domicile.
They wrote that they bought us a house, what steps they have taken to support us and our immigration and what steps will take in the future to that effect.

Then both him and his wife signed it.

A cover letter can't hurt.

I've been a JS, and I never sent in any cover letter. Everyone got their visas.

A cover letter is not needed, but it doesn't hurt to have. Give in to the wife on this one, and ask your JS for the letter.

We used a joint sponsor and we asked him for a letter, it mainly states him consenting on the joint sponsorship and accepting responsibilities of a joint sponsor. He signed it.

When we went to our interview, the CO took the letter along with our forms.

So yeah, it wouldn't hurt to prepare one.
