Hello everyone,

I know this may have been posted before but I could not find anything here or online. I'm thinking about this for the future not right now. I recently got married with my filipina wife last week and I grew very close to her family over the past few years.

Again this is out of curiosity, but is there a way to petition to bring cousins here to the USA. I know they can petition immediate family I believe, but can they petition cousins? If not, what about a student visa? I want to help her cousins go to school and I will help whether they go to school here in the USA or in the Philippines. I just want to know what options they have.

Thanks in advance.

Cousin - no. https://www.uscis.gov/family/family-us-citizens

Student - http://www.internationalstudent.com/immigration/f1-student-visa/ https://www.uscis.gov/working-united-states/students-and-exchange-visitors

There are very good accredited colleges in the Phils costing much less than a college here ;)

If you can afford to cover their education costs go for it, I would guess most can not.

Thank you, I think helping them get into accredited college over there would be the best way to help them when they graduate high school. I heard of some pretty decent colleges that are affordable compared to here.

Hi,

There is no way to petition for a cousin.

You can help them financially if they are seeking to be international students. They will need to qualify on their own, but you can pay their tuition and cost of living. You may want to look up international student tuition, it's not cheap.
