Latent tb - will I be allowed to travel on k1?

I am wondering has anyone applying for a k1 visa been diagnosed with latent tb? I am wondering if anyone has been to the interview with the diagnosis and what the outcome was. I am worried I won't be allowed to travel. I have read that it should be ok, but am looking for reassurance that I will be allowed into the country. The dr at the medical seemed to not really know. Thanks.

Latent TB is NOT contagious so I do not think you will be denied. My dad got active TB when I was 4yrs, I got like blockers because we all got infected which means for example, when they test me with the Mantoux shot, it will activate even though the TB is not active. I don't think this will be a problem for medical and traveling.

Edit: Is your doctor giving you medicines though? I only know that once a person has been diagnosed with Latent Tuberculosis and a medical doctor confirms no active tuberculosis, the person should remain alert to symptoms of active tuberculosis for the remainder of his or her life. Even after completing the full course of medication, there is no guarantee that the tuberculosis bacteria have all been killed.

Keep the following things in mind as what you have posted does leave some questions to be answered:

Did you have a BCG as a child? Those that had a BCG may test false positive for latent TB.
