Odd even at work, the only people constantly talking about race and offended by everything are. ???

If you knew me I am real nice person, who wants to include everyone and when someone comes in our satellite building I offer to help them with whatever task. I hate divisiveness with a passion. Anyway at our small building its kind of like a house. We ave a little oven kitchen fridge etc. We keep a lot of snacks . We cook stuff at home and bring. I always see people passing by and ask them to come in and have some.

Anyway the other day we cut a big water melon. We all feasted on watermelon. Several people from next door ( Diverse crowd of all races ) stopped by and we invited them to have some. Anyway it was getting late and we had 5 pieces left. I hoped on the golf cart and ran next door. I pulled up to 4 of my coworkers who happen to be black, I said we cut a big watermelon and have some left. Please come have some if you would like. I was met with cold looks and they just looked at each other. One said "is this some kind of comedy show". I was like no I have some good cold watermelon and was just being nice enough to share with my fellow coworkers. I was told that was racist. Even when I explained I would never joke like that and they knew I wouldn't they still acted stupid.

I just looked at them like the dumb you know whats they were and walked off.

Yes America the constant race whining has become that stupid.

Sure why wouldn't they be grateful for your leftover watermelon? Beats me.

Next time a Japanese neighbour asks me if I want leftover fish and chips or snails, I will refrain from laughing, and wolf them down.

However a little sensitivity would go a long way.

We are the people that work in another building. Several people of different races had come thru and had some. Would it have been racial if it was pizza and it was offered to white guys. Give me a break.

A little sensitivity does indeed go a long way. As a white person, I would have been mortified of someone doing that to an African American. Being oblivious does not absolve someone of bad behavior.

I was in a pizza shop a couple months ago. The African American woman working the counter had beautiful long dreadlocks. The scrawny white delivery guy came in to pick up his next round - tugged on her hair and began making fun of her. The other coworkers shifted uncomfortably, as did the patrons waiting at the counter. Think he thought he wasn't being an offensive jerk and funny in his totally oblivious smart-mouthed way. Some people aren't born with the good sense god gave 'em. That doesn't mean what they are doing isn't wrong.

Let me know, when pizza becomes a long standing historical context of racial derogatory depiction.

I bought some Ice cream the other day. Blue Bell to be exact. A black lady I call mamma who I tell her I love almost daily, and we do a lot of deals together came in. I explained I had just bought Ice cream and insisted she have one. She was tickled and offers to prey for me in return

Glad you brought up the issue of grown men and little girls. That adds value to the thread. Diddling little girls is definitely not new. After all marriage age law in many areas of the world is based on a certain Prophet who married a 9 yr old (but he did let her bring and play with her dolls in his house as an example of how a good husband should treat his wife)

We should all pitch in and buy about 1,000,000 3 ft X 1/4 fiberglass rods. It is so unfair that some of these women get beaten by different sized sticks. This way we can sleep better at night knowing they are beaten equally.

Does this mean we should be asking how old people spouses are here? Because there are quite a few members in the MENA forum and some here that follow Islam and it would be safe to say their loved ones are of legal age, unless you're implying those who marry Muslims would engage in pedophilia?
