Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

I got on and saw a notice that my case was approved and I would get letter with instructions!! I am super excited and curious as does this mean it will be sent now to my spouse's country?

Congratulations on the approval. Now being proactive is in order.

No you have a ways to go before tan. Now your approved petition goes to NVC. Here is the NVC Process wiki read that and start preparing so you aren't delayed.

Usually we say start calling NVC after 2 weeks from approval it usually takes 1 to 4 weeks to get there and get case#.

Ghana has a long wait for interview after you are complete with all processing at NVC and have case complete it's about a 3 to 4 month wait for an interview to be assigned.

Once assigned an interview 3 to 4 weeks before interview your casefile is sent to the embassy.

With him being in Ghana how will he get his packet? Am I notified and he picks it up from the embassy there?

I know we're looking at another 6 months at least.

What packet. NVC will send you a welcome letter when your case# is assigned. that's why we have you to keep calling NVC even before you get letter at that time when they say yes we have your case# you give them your husbands email and yours.

The welcome letter will come in the mail and via email (sometimes) But from then all all communications with NVC is via email.
