Petitioner to be present at K-1 interview - HCMC?

Quick question: for people have the K-1 visa interview passed [congrats btw], did you as petitioner attend the interview with your fiance?

I also attended my fiancée's interview and other than waiting to be called, the interview was quick and easy for us.

I attended and approached the interview window with my fiancé. They didn't have a problem and did ask me questions in English as well. It was very casual, nothing to be concern about. Very basic questions about the relations. What is your wedding plan, where have you two travel, how did you meet, etc...

Plan to arrive extra early and bring snacks. You will be there for at least 3 to 4 hours. However, your actual interview is less than 5 minutes.

Its highly encouraged in these forums as petitioner to attend interview if possible. Particular in difficult countries such as VN.

it seems like a norm that the petitioner to attend interview at Vietnam HCMC.

Do you still remember what questions they asked the petitioner? and were you asked while your fiance with you or separately?

I, too, attended the interview with my then-fiancee and approached the window when her ticket was called. The gentleman asked who I was and then told me to take a seat in the waiting area. He never called me until after the interview to let me know that her visa was approved and we should expect to receive it in a few days.

I didn't attend my fiancee interview and she was in and out in 1 hour, they mostly asked her about what i did in the military.

I also attended, I went up with my then fiancee to the window when they called her number. They told me to be seated and never called me back up. You can find questions that were asked at the interview in the HCMC consulate reviews!

Just an update for anyone is wondering

For my case, the petitioner did NOT attend the interview with the beneficiary. 

Beneficiary did pass the interview anyway.

Hey, 

My husband also attended the interview with me. I, personally, do not think it makes any different. I witnessed others people with K1 visa interview that day without their other half. They all passed the interview. 

I think you also should consider your relationship evident when you applied. Ask your finance to prepare a good amount of pictures, phone logs, chats, and wedding planning. You will be fine. 

If you think you can afford a ticket, and coming with her to the interview make you feel better then you can do that too.
