Well, I guess for spouses, they must have seen at least once for the wedding. I read here that they demand proof of meeting, or actually, pardon me, they expect the couple to have consummated the marriage if it was a proxy marriage.

There is no specific timeframe but you must be able to demonstrate that there is an "ongoing relationship". That would be difficult to demonstrate if you have not seen each other for 20 years, for example.

Haha! That's true, that would be something... Just imagine who would try to get a job there then?

However, in order to "consummate", you would still have to meet, so... There is a requirement of sorts. Makes me happy to have married my SO when we were both present. Gosh, the girl who performed the ceremony was such a sweetheart! Makes me want to gush about our beautiful, if everything but crowded, ceremony all over again!
