Good point. No better example of decency and morals than loosening one's thighs based on who is willing to pay for dinner.

in my experience, this is exactly why i'd always rather pay for myself. no expectation of repayment, or perceived 'debt'.

Same with me but isn't it a bit hypocritical to demand equality but always expect the man to pay.

I always let the ladies order first also.

On another note. I dated a chicken for a brief period. Always ordered the most expensive item on the menu. Money wasn't the issue I just that it displayed a trait I didn't like. I dismissed her fairly quick.

a chicken with expensive tastes, don't you just have all the luck?

Now I suspect that this app is like a regret button. If the date is good, pay and leave it at that. If the date is bad, pay, then ask for money back because that chick is super lame!

Agree?

Should men always pay for dates?

I don't like the feelings of 'owing' people something / favor.

No, not always. I think paying for the first few dates is nice. I always offer to pay, though. Gotta do the pay dance.

Times have changed for sure. I grew up in a time when men paid for dinner and didn't expect anything in return for it. It was the moral standard back then. The concept of the woman owing something in return really didn't exist.

Does that in any way resemble the pee pee dance?

There's nothing wrong with either person paying for a date.. or even splitting the bill. A man shouldn't feel inherently obligated to do so though... if the lady offers, perhaps they should say yes and appreciate it? Of course I understand why they do, and I'd not badger a guy on why he wants to either. If it makes him feel good about himself, then why not?

No one should expect anything in return for buying dinner though.

From some online forums I read:

Some men assess the women potential by their willingness to offer to pay for dates.

If the women are still not 'opening their wallets (or even a gesture of offer to pay)" after third dates so on, they will write them off as gold diggers.
