Hi everyone, I was wondering does anyone have any experience with waivering vaccinations on a K-1 visa? I know that with a K3 you have to waiver before entering US , but I'm wondering is it possible to enter US on a K-1 and then waiver the vaccinations over in the US before Adjustment Of Status... (as I know you don't technically need the vaccinations for the K-1, just when you are applying for AOD..

Thanks!

Depends on why you do not want to get the vaccinations. They may or may not approve the waiver > https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/HTML/PolicyManual-Volume9-PartC-Chapter3.html

Do you mind sharing your reason for the waiver? I am asking because the only ones I have seen with the K1 are for pregnancy.

And if you grew up in Ireland, chances are you already have all the vaccinations necessary (the only one I needed was a tetanus shot).

sorry for the late response on this.. I would be waivering them because of seizure reactions to them. But I can not prove it medically because it seems an issue that's not known too much about and whenever I have done it's been said it's been from something else. So I would probably be officially waivering for philosophical reasons. I've read somewhere that techinically you don't need them done until you are applying for your adjustment of status. So I am just wondering if me and my fiance should go down the fiance visa route or the i-i130. Head spinning

They are not required for a K-1 entry, but they are required for AOS and an immigrant visa. So, you will need them for the K-1 or CR-1 route. Read the info in the link above and this is the form > https://www.uscis.gov/i-601

Getting a waiver is extremely difficult, especially on the religious/ philosophical exemption, and even more so as you had some vaccinations in the past, just as a warning. Did you check that you actually would need more vaccinations?
