The RFE my husband (applicant) received asked that since I (the sponsor) did not meet 125% of the poverty guideline for our household size, I can either submit bank statements covering the last 12 months (statements will be averaged over a 12 month period) or a statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institution in which the sponsor has deposits, the account balance averaged over a 12 month period, and current balance as proof of assets.

So we just sent in a statement from the officer of the bank with information requested. I am praying that they approve it!!

Has any one else sent in a bank letter as proof of assets?

Thank-you!!

We got the same: Though my husband(petitioner) met 125% of the poverty guideline for our household size but we still got a RFE.

We submitted- W2's(tax return), 12months of bank statements, We also submitted a letter from his employer...

don't know if this helps you.

I don't know if we got approved or not.. still waiting for the letter to arrive...

Did you get approved? I did the same but I don’t see a response here.
