I already sent Marlon the packet 3 contents. All he needs to do is send the DS-230 via courier to the embassy tomorrow and hope we will have an interview in July.

Congrats to fellow NVCers!

If everything goes well, we might have our interview by the end of june, otherwise it will be at the beginning of July. Jakarta doesnt have much waiting time for an interview. We are mostly waiting to get the medical done so we can turn in packet 3.

Does Packet 3 include the I134 and other documents, or is it a separate thing altogether?

Hi Everyone!

My SO just text messaged me, he received Packet 3 in the mail today! I'm curious to see what what it says....but I have to wait until we speak this evening to find out. :clock: We have virtually all the documents ready, I will be mailing my stuff to him early next week. He needs to do the medical and he's mailed off for the 2nd of his police clearances last week. He was told it would take about two weeks, so he should receive it next week, I hope! *fingers crossed* I do have a question, if anyone knows. Can the Packet 3 checklist be mailed back to the consulate at this stage, or does one have to wait for the medical to be done before signing and mailing the checklist back? (Or is this one of those consulate specific procedures?)

I'm also hoping he can get an interview date by the end of June or early July. (Hungary doesn't have too much of a wait for interviews either.) :)

Good luck to everyone! Hang in there Feb filers! The 'light at the end of the tunnel' is becoming more and more visible. :)

It has I-134, DS-156, DS-156K, DS-230, 4 forms for medical. Each of them in pdf file.

Anyway, the forms in my packet 3 for medical has expiry date 05/30/07 but I think I should be fine to use it for my medical later.

In reguler mail ?. The U.S embassy in Indonesia only sent email for Packet 3 to the USC and then to be forwarded to the beneficiary ... I was hoping to get it via reguler mail. I thought it would be kind of cool. But oh well :)

For the UK, we can mail the checklist back before we have the medical. There's 1 week wait at the medical place and several months wait at the embassy for us. We made the appt and put that date on the checklist. Check with your specific country though.

I emailed the embassy yesterday about the NVC receiving my petition on may 17th, and how as of June 7th my fiancé had not received anything from them. I asked for the status of my case and when they would send packet 3 out. Today they emailed me back and said Silvia has a interview date of Sept 5 already, and packet 4 (not 3) was sent out June 6th.

So the good news is we have an interview date!!!

Bad news is that its kinda far away, but mainly I'm kinda worried as to why they never sent out packet 3 to her. Aren't those forms required? Does this happen at other embassies?
