Lets not let this discussion go dormant. I know we all have hope about getting it through quickly, and we realize that is not going to happen. I saw someone who made a future timeline and they are a february filer. They think they are going to get their interview around june 29th. Thoughts on that anyone?? :clock:

Thanks,

Nathan

i have been speculating on our timeline...as i need to lose 10lbs. what do ya'll think...reasonable timeline expectation

???

For Kyiv, my SO's interview will be approx. 10 weeks after our NOA2.

YMMV

Yeah, we should keep this topic going...According to my timeline my NOA2 could be issued as soon as June 5. I guess that's because my NOA1 was issued Feb 28. I am trying not to worry too much yet, but of course I can't help worrying I would be one of those, who takes 128 days (!) Right now, I am just thinking about my trip in May...I don't have to worry about the 10 lbs. I have stress from this whole process, trying to make plans for our life once we get there, so I haven't had much of an appetite since we mailed the thing... :)

I love it that my 128 days is the standard for what everyone DOESN'T want!

Hey, Jim&Gemz is worse - they're right now at 157 days (I believe) and still no NOA2 from CSC...!

Just look at my member title! :D;):P

But in all truthfulness - I wish someone had told me that a long-ish wait was possible at the start of our process. I mean, I think I 'knew' but it seemed like most everyone on here zipped right through, and that the exceptions weren't so likely to happen.

Might have done my mental state a world of good during those trying weeks.

Nice title :) Mostly I was joking, but I agree, good to remember that it COULD happen...I do really hope that Jim&Gemz will get their NOA2 ASAP!

it is so unfair to the US citizens that we have to wait this long for the processing time. if it was an H-1 or student visa holder, they could bring their spouse and kids when they enter US. no wait whatsoever. we all should write to our congressmen about this "slow processing time". our INS service center should take care of the US citizen's needs before anybody else's. i think we deserve this, as we atleast pay the taxes here.

Hi there

We are February Filers also. We actually started talking, barely in 2004. Spent a great deal of time on the phone and computer all of 2005, and finally met in 2006, two times. We are very busy and took too much time to file this paperwork, and now are kicking ourselves for taking so long to do it. We actually got engaged in August I think (he keeps track better than I do! terrible).

I think the one thing that could happen with the service centers is if they would ask the public to be part of a think tank, to assist in any changes coming up.

I think through all of the postings on here, many people here could tell the service centers the worst parts of the process. Things like not knowing to send the SO's birth certificate...some do, some dont, some get RFE'd and some do not. Also why they have not given Vermont more files. One office has a 90+ turn around, the other a 30+, couldnt we slide some work over and get a 60 day average?

Anyway, good luck to everyone, fingers crossed, and a bright future of love, happiness and adventure to all of us!

Bobbie

6-8-07 Touched appropriately!
