FutureM,

(F) Could you possibly be any sweeter?? Thank you so much. My prayers are with you, as well. (F)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

helo guys...im new here ....how do you know that you are being TOUCHED. thnx

so nice to know someone also from Philippines, anyway to add on ken's reply, you will have to register on the uscis site where the link he also provided...you will know your receipt number on your noa1..don't be shy if you have some more questions, we in vj are here to help each other.. B)

Hi February filers..

Been reading the posts here and we surely are fit to some situations.. Our petition were received from NVC May 15 but our case status online were not changed since May 2. No NOA2 in his mailbox nor in his inbox. Prior to that, my fiance called the homeland and not so very nice guy (gay, he sounds like, my fiance said) told him that our case is still pending, blah blah.. My fiance were thinking of calling the CSC and tell them we already have case number from NVC but no NOA2 letter from them.. That might confuse the customer reps and might just hang up.. Hehe..

hi anthony julie, sharyna, msu17, paul&minya and others..i noticed that you guys were informed that you were approved and your case is already in NVC...i think you don't need to worry anymore if your status in uscis has not changed, as all cases forwarded to NVC are petitions already approved..all the more if you have your NVC case number already  after our case leaves csc, it will no longer be touched nor the status be changed coz uscis and nvc don't have the same database used.. ;)

the opinions that i express in this website are my own and are not legal advise...thank you...

so how do we know what case number the NVC assigns to our petitions?

does it change from the case number we've been using till now?

Yup, it does change from the CSC # to the one that will be used at the embassy. You can either call the NVC (try after 6 or early in the morning to get through, but you HAVE to talk to a human, dont use the computer system) OR just wait for the letter from them to come in the mail.

Rea, you are very right, except we do need the paper copy for AOS. Once I have that in my grubby little hands, they can do whatever they want with the online status. Though I think one angry phone call (post paper copy in my hands) is in store ;)

I had figured that getting an actual NOA2 was pointless now that things are to the NVC?

msu why is the NOA2 needed for the AOS? I haven't thought about the AOS yet, that's kind of far away. BTW do you think CSC just refuses to mail things to Michigan, it sounds like we had the exact same experience.

Wait a minute, it says on the guide is should send the NOA2 to my fiancee to take to the interview??

That's a problem if they never send it. But why should they need the NOA2, they already have the paperwork and everything.

I think I have everything I need, my employer and bank statements...I'll fill out the affadavits of support, add some updated evidence of ongoing relationship and new letter of intent to marry, plus all the old stuff from the original application and mail it to her, that should be all she needs, right? I guess I can harrass uscis about the noa2 if necessary...

The embassy wont need the NOA2, they wont even see a petition unless its approved. So showing them a copy of the NOA2 is not necessary. You can include a copy of it, if it makes you feel better, but don't let it slow you down.

But when you do get it, you need to keep it, a copy of it is required in filing for AOS. From form I-485:

Attach a copy of the fiancé(e) petition approval notice, a copy of your marriage certificate and your Form 1-94.

We were approved the on the 8th, we finally got our NOA2 in the mail today. So you should see it soon, hopefully.

I think this computer error and hardcopy of NOA2 is dependent on which adjucator that ends up with your packet...I received email notice the day of and three days or so later a hard copy of the NOA2...I really think their entire operating procedure needs to be revamped...maybe after the Army, I will go manage the CSC...

I agree. I am not sure it is a computer problem. It seems more dependent (in my opinion) on which officer works on your case.

When that happens, hmm1, do not forget your old filing buddies.

I think hmm1 will remember, BUT we will ALL be approved by then!

Girl, you need to keep that head up...your NOA2 is just around the corner, I do not know why it takes them so long to do this, it sucks badly...but keep your head up and have faith. You have to keep having faith, if not you will go whacko...I know one day, I felt like driving to CSC and doing it myself...I could have even made it back for work the next day...keep your head up...

BTW, I can never forget you guys, especially you and Ken...if you keep it up, you might get a wedding invitation...
