geez. i can't believe it...nvc mailed our info to kiev on the 16th!!! we now have our new case number KEVXXXXXXXXXX...no e-mails from our noa1 to our noa2...nothing, nada...the only time uscis has contacted me was when we got our noa1 in the mail...

now all we are waiting for is maryna to get her police certificate from london...she had a medical done in sumy a month ago, just to have some peace of mind until she has to get the "real" medical done in kiev...and all is good there...we downloaded packets 3 and 4 from our embassy website, and so all that is ready...next week i'll e-mail and call the embassy to see where we stand and when to schedule the interview...OMG, it's all coming together!!!

You know that you must phone the call center to schedule the interview as the embassy does not do it anymore.

I followed everyone's advice and called regarding a "possible RFE" and the nice man on the phone said, "What date are you inquiring about?" I said "Today's date." ....and he said the magic words "Actually that's your approval notice! You should be receiving it in the mail soon."

I'm going to go wake up my love now w/ the good news! :dance: :dance: :dance:

i wonder why they dont keep it up to date if they've already mailed out the NOA2.....

Yes, my status on the website hadn't changed, but I saw that I had a touch today...my first one. Since I saw everyone was calling, I called too.....glad I did! :)

Yes, my status on the website hadn't changed, but I saw that I had a touch today...my first one. Since I saw everyone was calling, I called too.....glad I did! :)

OK, I called and did the RFE thing because I actually did change my home address during this process. I tried the change of address menu yesterday and got a guy that would not tell me a thing.

Using the RFE menu, I got connected to California. A very nice woman verified they have the correct address. Then she said that said my case is "ready to process", "in transit to an officer" and will be ready "soon." When I pressed further, she said "give it another 30 to 60 days" but I detected a wink in her voice like she was giving the standard cover your butt required answer.

I told her in a very nice way that this was sooooo difficult for my fiancee and myself, and she repeated "don't worry it is ready to process" and we are "almost there." She was very kind.

At least I verified they have the correct mailing address, but other than that I don't think I know anything. At least I spoke with a human worker at CSC.

That's great news...I hope it comes soon man...

Mar. 27-Found VJ, and became disappointed for not being able to use VSC.

Mar. 27-Applied for military expedite and got congressional help.

I did the same thing... No touches since the 4th so I finally called using the RFE excuse and was told I had been approved 2 weeks ago. Then I called NVC and they just recieved it today! WOO HOO! No one knows why I still haven't gotten the approval notice in the mail, but who cares! They seriously need to fix the freaking e-mail system. Congrats to all of those getting approvals!

This is interesting. I thought the apps were bar coded and every time someone looked at or touched them they were scanned, that automaticly sent an update, or "touch" to the case number.

Of course I believed my email from them that said the cases are handled in the order they were received. Since ours was received on Feb. 2 and people at the end of Feb have gotten there NOA2 and we have not received anything yet, (that I know of) I guess that they are not handled in any particular order. It is becomming a tad bit frustrating. I have been pretty good at waiting and being patient. I am starting to wear down.

I am glad to see more and more Feb filers get the NOA2. Surley that means I am getting close. I do wish I was one of the ones approved though. Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Patience is a virtue..................right??????

March 14, 2006.....We meet, spend the next 2 weeks togeather
