Wait, you can get an RFE through the mail without any update on the online case status or without any email? What if I got an RFE and it disappeared like my NOA1 ???

What is the RFE trick everyone is speaking of, just calling and saying you are afraid you got an RFE but have not gotten any information about it?

1/24/07 - I-129F mailed to Nebraska Service Center

2/4/07 - I-129F returned to me, needs original signature

2/5/07 - I-129F re-submitted to California Service Center

2/9/07 - I-129F received per CSC; I never received hard copy NOA1

2/14/07 - Touch

3/11/07 - Still awaiting snail mail NOA1

4/18/07 - Touch

5/4/07 - Touch - "Marked for approval" per RFE trick phone call 5/18

5/7/07 - Touch

5/18/07 - Received and entered at NVC per phone call!

5/21/07 - NOA2

5/22/07 - Forwarded to embassy

5/23/07 - Paper NOA2

What is the RFE trick everyone is speaking of, just calling and saying you are afraid you got an RFE but have not gotten any information about it?

Pretty much that is what people are doing. I got no emails or change in status, just the RFE in the mail! Hope you don't get one!

for some reason i cant edit my post... but my fiance just emailed me .... he got a letter from Immigration (he calls it lol)......

they gave us our NOA2!!

but the uscis website hasnt been updated as yet..... dont know why - is this normal?

so i've asked him to tell me what the letter says... i hope he took it with him to work.... geez i'm so demanding...

Feb. 27-NOA1, received CSC.

Mar. 27-Found VJ, and became disappointed for not being able to use VSC.

Mar. 27-Applied for military expedite and got congressional help.

Mar. 28-touched.

Mar. 29-touched again.

Mar. 30-touched yet again.

Apr. 04-touched another time.

Apr. 05-touched some more.

May 15-touched once again.

Well CSC seems to be a bit behind in sending out notifications (probably something to do with the H1B backlog). Some people were touched last week but didnt see anything happen with thier case. Calling the USCIS number and following the prompts for questions about an RFE will connect you to the CSC. You can ask about you case. But if you just got touched, I would give them a few days, they may get out a notification on thier own.
