9/14/06 - Met Michal at Oklahoma State Fair

12/19/06 - Flew to S. Africa for 2 weeks

12/26/06 - Michal proposed..I said YES!

2/10/07 - Sent K-1 package overnight (TSC)

2/13/07 - Delivered and signed for by M. Salcedo

2/21/07 - NOA1

2/22/07 - Check cashed

2/24/07 - Touched

2/26/07 - Received NOA1 via snail mail from CSC (Fiance's name misspelled!)

4/3/07 - Touched

4/8/07 - Received letter from USCIS confirming fiance's name was corrected

5/8/07 - Touched

5/9/07 - Touched again!

It is now officially 5 days since my last touch and no approval :( I was really really hoping to see an e-mail this morning... AND its raining, what a poo day... At least lots of people seem to be getting touched, so at least CSC is working again!!!

How would you like to check your case status only to see the same thing you saw February 26th? Well, God says wait, I rekon that's what I gotta do. :clock: Maybe I need to go pray in the shower. It is always been a good point of contact for me. :idea:

I waited from Feb 3rd with no touch until May 3rd, so I do know... I have too many prayers going right now, this one seems to have fallen to the wayside ;)

I said another prayer this morning in the shower (of all places!) for everyone!

Yeah Touches! I think i may be following your timeline as closely as you are because I hope it signals quick processing for the South African sufferers.

02/08/2007: Engaged on top of Table Mountain!

03/27/2007: Sent I129f to NSC

04/04/2007: NOA1 (from CSC)

06/27/2007: NOA2!!!!!!!!!!!!

07/09/2007: Paper NOA2 in the mail

07/13/2007: NVC sent our petition to Jo'burg!!

07/27/2007: Packet 3

09/20/2007: Successful Interview!!!

09/27/2007: Visa in hand

10/02/2007: E's flight lands at 2:10 in Chicago!!!!!!

ok, day 82 for us and we have been waiting patienlty...and now it is running out...just hoping for that strong wednesday, thursday, friday push...would really like to get this noa2 business over with so i can concentrate on my work...c'mon csc!!!

Can i have your visa? :innocent: Only kidding. Thanks so much for the offer! Seriously, just reading stuff from other people going through the same process is an incredible help for me right now. Thank god I discovered this site! Otherwise I would be going absolutely bonkers right now.

As far as the mailing goes, I usually use usps for letters and such, i don't remember having a huge delay. Usually if I send him gifts, i i buy them directly from places like Amazon (he's easy, CDs and books make him super happy) and that usually arrives in about 10 days. The real drag is waiting for stuff coming from SA. He fast shipped some of the documents i needed for the I129 form and it took 2 weeks! And that was with super fast shipping!

Tho- i just remembered, i was in SA for Christmas and My grandma sent a box of cookies to us that didn't arrive until the middle of January. My grandma is really ####### about sending stuff waaaaay before a holiday so that it arrives in time, so I guess USPS isn't that wonderful afterall. After waiting months for these cookies, we figured that someone at Customs decided to confiscate them....into his belly!

My K-1 Timeline:

I had touches Friday and Monday, but nothing since...how disappointing...

What exactly do they do with the applications anyway? Do they verify things, do background checks somehow?

1/24/07 - I-129F mailed to Nebraska Service Center

2/4/07 - I-129F returned to me, needs original signature

2/5/07 - I-129F re-submitted to California Service Center

2/9/07 - I-129F received per CSC; I never received hard copy NOA1

2/14/07 - Touch

3/11/07 - Still awaiting snail mail NOA1

4/18/07 - Touch

5/4/07 - Touch - "Marked for approval" per RFE trick phone call 5/18

5/7/07 - Touch

5/18/07 - Received and entered at NVC per phone call!

5/21/07 - NOA2

5/22/07 - Forwarded to embassy

5/23/07 - Paper NOA2

Avg days NOA1 to NOA2 76.11

Lets hope the rest of the week increases the approvals noticeably! :dance: Let's go CSC! :dance:
