Thanks, Milenka !!

One good thing about CSC taking so long (cup half full perspective) is that it enables he and I to save more money.

BUT the wait will drive me nuts, and then I'll go crazy. (cup half empty) ... e.g., having conversations with doorknobs.

So, I've planned a trip to Istanbul in July. (cup half full, again)

Then I saw what it'll cost given the price of oil (cup half empty) ... which means my bank account will be half empty!

So, if anyone at CSC or the embassy suggests that I don't have much money saved in the bank, e.g., to sponsor my fiance, I'm going to bite their nose off!! Then lecture them on the time it took to receive CSC's NOA1, and the time we had to wait to receive CSC's NOA2, then the turtle-like pace at VSC ... followed by the months waiting for the one-petition-per-day consulate in Turkey. Surely, they'll dispute the assertion, but I'll not be dissuaded.

Then I will rant about having to fly to Istanbul to see my fiance with my own eyes. I'll explain that after this long, I was beginning to think he was a figment of my imagination (given I've started talking with door knobs).:wacko: They'll ask my fiance if he's SURE he wants to marry me (????)

Signed,

M and M

P.S. Thank God he loves me, and has a good sense of humor(!).

I'm not obsessively checking if any January filer has gotten NOA2's but I did notice something that may offer a little ray of hope. Per FWA-guy's page, in Nov there were 83 petitions, in December 77, while in January only 65 filed at CSC(this includes the forwarded ones from NSC and CSC). That means that when the January NOA2's start rolling there will be less of them that CSC has to issue, so we February filers may get our turn quicker than expected?!? Less petitions to process, the quicker they can finish all of them for that month.

Dunno if that helps any of the obsessives out there, but its a little food for thought.

This news, and also what Paula&Minya said, do give me at least some hope :) and every little bit helps :) Hopefully those guys at CSC are as logical as we are...How many petitions were filed in February at CSC? Though I wonder how many applications in TOTAL were mailed to CSC, not just those that we know about through VJ...I wonder if we could find out somehow...

Keith,

They won't send you an E mail unless they approve you or are sending you an RFE. Those touches only indicate someone is moving or viewing your file. On the other hand, sometimes you will get an RFE or an approval without ever receiving an actual E mail. CSC...blah!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

K&X,

I think you may want to post this info in the AOS forum as this thread is for those who filed for K-1 visas at either NSC, TSC or CSC and are waiting for approval. Those of us here are still at the very beginning of the process, as you are waiting for your AOS you're much further ahead than us.

Good luck with your process.

NOt sure on how many Feb filers there are, but I put all the december filers into a spreadsheet and I just check timelines each day. To see approvals, enter the service center (to weed out Vermont) K1, dates and then scroll down and it will tell you how many people filed for that SC and how many have approvals. The guy (Myrna's man I think) was also a Dec filer, and he said he's cancelling his engagement :(.
