Hi trini,

Couva was pretty hot but windy today.

Regarding the i130, my husband had no issues...just the wait on the NOA2 as Nebraska took EXACTLY 5mths with our petition. Dunno if their processing time has decreased so good luck with that.

I am at the very end of this journey but I can try to help with questions if you have any. You can see some details in my signature too.

Yes...look at my signature and you'll see my visa journey. My interview was yesterday and I got put in Administrative Processing since the officer asked for more financial docs from my father in law who is my husband's joint sponsor. As soon as I get what they asked for, I'll mail it to the embassy and wait about 2wks or less for the visa.

The entire process for cr1/ir1 takes between 12-15mths.

morning guys @amadia did u guys use a lawyer here or there? my friend filed last june and got thru last month she is currently in texas i wonder if they are wrking faster no my lawyer said 9 to 11 months

The choice of retaining an immigration attorney is solely up to you but I did this entire process on my own. Lawyers tend to mess up your paperwork; I know a lot of people that had lawyers and got checklisted at the NVC stage for missing docs or incorrectly filled i864s and ds260s. They don't always keep you in the loop as they are the ones who are assigned as the Agent of Choice for receiving emails on behalf you and your husband.

I don't mean to scare you but that's the reality at times with having immigration attorneys. No ir1/cr1 visas have EVER been done in under 12mths so idk what magic your attorney thinks he/she can pull outta their hat.

not scared at all i actually know alot of ppl who has done the cr 1 in less than 12 months so far my lawywer has been great no complains there is also alot of ppl who filed on here at different tread who was granted there green card in less than 12 month good luck to u
