no gender on my authenticated birth certificate

is there anybody know's???since my fiance is already mailed his 1-129f Im also gathering my papers here in the philippines..i found out that my nso birthcertificate has no gender..i get supplementary document then forward to nso manila for approval...but the DFA give me my passport coz i have my supplemental document...

my question is:

1.what will i do coz i did not received yet the approval of my birthcert.from NSO manila?

2.is this problem bother me during my interview?

I can't answer your question..but since you brought it up, I checked and noticed there's no gender on my international BC either so perhaps it's normal.

I just checked my authenticated BC and (thanked God) mine had no problem as fas the gender box is concern.

With your concern, what I've learned from different testimonies and stories, is that they were really in trouble when there are some errors on their BCs.. Unfortunately, I believe, that will put you on AR. (Kindly correct me co-VJers if am wrong).

You still have lots of time to fix it and it would be better to start working for that now.

I hope activism groups aren't watching this thread and get any bright ideas! That will give them an idea to lobby for some political reform to be "politically correct", so that future birth certificates not have a gender indicated. This way a person can choose which gender a person think they should be. And not with what nature has obviously gave a person's body to tell if the person is "male" or "female"!

So, I'm guessing in the Philippines they don't care about gender as much.
