Which line at the airport?

I'm flying from Haiti to Miami with my fiance on Wednesday. Which line do we get in to come through customs? Do I get in the visitor's line with him, or does he get in the USC line with me? For some reason I find Miami confusing enough when it's just me! I want to make sure we're in the right spot. We're staying in Miami a few days before heading to DC, so at least we don't have to worry about connecting flights.

There will be plenty of staff guiding people into appropriate lines. I would ask them. Sometimes if traveling with a USC they allow the entire party to join them.

I doubt he will be able to go to the USC line, most likely you will have to go the visitor line with him, which is not a problem at all. On the plus side, it will be a much shorter line in Miami Speaking from experience, you will have no problem there.

My wife is a USC and we have always gone on the tourist line together every time we go and visit family and friends in the US. Like someone else said, you can still ask, but most likely they'll send you both to the tourist line.

Thank you for your replies. We went through the tourist line and didn't have any problems. Took us about an hour and a half but there were no issues of any kind. Although it would hurt those CBP officers to smile just once in awhile!
