I am currently completing the Form I-130 as well as the G-325A to start the visa process to bring my wife to the US.

1) She has lived and worked overseas on several occasions. The addresses will not fit in the space provided on these forms. I am not sure what I should do to get the proper addresses on these forms. What should I do? Attach a second sheet possibly?

2) Also, It asks for File Number "A-______". Not sure what this is or where to get this number as I am now only beginning the process.

3) Alien Registration Number??

4) I am filing the petition for my spouse. I130 asks for our last address at which we lived together. We have never lived together. What do I need to insert into block 21 of the I130?

5) On the G325A for my wife, under employment name and address.....these are very long and will not fit in the space provided. What should I do?

6) On the G325a, it asks "this form is submitted in connect with an application for".....which box should I choose?

Thank you all so very much for your continued assistance in this process.

Blessings,

Toby

Hey there

1. Usually on the instructions to every form you submit there are instructions about how to put your additional information if there is not enough space on the form itself

so you should just look at those instructions

2-3. A-number is Alien Registration Number which is given by USCIS to people who apply for some benefits (including GC)

So if your wife went through some document filing with USCIS, she should have this number, if not, then they will assign a new number to her when they start processing the documents for GC

4. If you never lived together then you should either write "N/A" or live the space blank (according to the instructions of the form you are submitting)
5. Again, you should look in the form's instructions. As far as I remember you should just attach an additional piece of paper, where you will put the question number and explain or put smth that did not fit the line. And then sign every single page you attached like that.

6. you should check the box "other" and write the name of the form you submitting (I-130) or write petition for Alien relative

You can find the instructions on page 2

they say:
if extra space is needed to complete any item, attach a continuation sheet, indicate the item number and date and sign each sheet.

answer all questions fully and accuratelly. state that an item is not applicable with "N/A". If the Answer is none, write "none".

On the question last address you lived together write: have not lived together.

Your wife likely doesn't have an A# yet so write NONE.

Use an attachment sheet for large or extra addresses.

For us we both checked other and write "Form I-130"

Answers:

  1. Write "see attached" on the form itself and use a separate sheet of paper to write out the complete information. Be sure to indicate the question that is being answered on the separate sheet.
  2. Write "None"
  3. Same as #2
  4. You write "We have not yet lived together" or something to that effect; "None" will also be an appropriate response. DO NOT write "N/A" for this, the question IS applicable to you.
  5. Same as #2
  6. Tick other and write "Form I-130"
