how long before visa issued

I had my interview on may 3(cr1) VO said everything is good but she needs me to submit a joint sponsor at the drop off center in Lagos. I submitted the joint sponsor form and the last 3 years taxes on may 6, I was told at the Dhl office to come back 10 working days for my visa. it was 10 working days yesterday visa not issued yet. here is the question how long does it take to get my visa in this case and also since may 11 I have had 4 updates on my case may 11,18,19,and 20th. does updates means my visa is gonna be issued next week? pls if u have experience about this kindly comment. thanks

What does your status say? Once the embassy has completed they will change it to Issued. I don't know why the DHL center said ready in 10 days. The embassy has to verify your documents and approve. It can take weeks for that.

Just keep checking your status. You can also email the embassy and get status.

Updates mean they are verifying your documents.

thanks dwheels...the ceac said your case is undergoing necessary administrative processing when your visa is approved u will get it in one or two business day. I emailed the embassy to ask for an update they replied by saying your message has been sent to the appropriate unit they will contact me soon.

Just hang on then. Hopefully it will change to ISSUED this week.

My interview was 21st March and CO said congratulations your visa has-been approved and it will be ready for pickup within 4 or 7days but until now I didn't receive. They changed updates 3 times like today 23 may I don't know what is goingon.

Please share with me if you have seen such experience. Thanks

I want to use this medium to thank everyone who has commented on questions I asked on here, dwheels thanks for your effort on this site. you guys are wonderful. and I want urge those still in the process to keep up the faith u will get reunited with your love once soon. thank you all. I want to ask how long will it take for the visa to be available at the pick up centre? a friend said once the ceac said the visa has been printed it means its available at the pick up centre how true is that?

Lagos is 14 days from interview. You can not go by it saying Issued. Most embassies now update 1 to 3 days after interview Issued and printed and its not even ready.

Seems Issued is the New Approved.
