As usual much more complicated, from what I can see.

Seems like a time bomb waiting to go off.

Cops well out of their depth was the finale.

Judging from the video there was no intent to kill him, they seemed confused as to why their efforts to control him were not working, why he was not complying,

Not sure they were told he was drugged out of his tiny.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

They should have just punched him in the face and knocked him out. Might sound brutal but at least it wouldn't have killed him. Looks like they're just not the brightest cops ever - but I don't see any malicious intent. They told him at least a dozen times to stop resisting. However tasering him time and time again instead of being real men and using other means sure is lame.

and if they had beat him into submission we would hear the public outcry on that. It's a no win for the cops

By the way.

The kid you all keep talking about was 32.

The autopsy is planned but spice is suspected to have killed him

After 2 or 3 taser shots, law enforcement has to switch tactics. The danger of multiple taser shots in these situations are well documented. Either they were negligent themselves, or their training is deficient (which is also negligence). There is no need for either of those things in this day and age.

Seems like they were on a single track here - to subdue this guy as fast as possible by whatever means necessary. A proper assessment of the risk doesn't seem to have occurred. The questions I would ask is where the immediate danger was, and why a medical assessment wasn't done.

Suicide by cop. Some people want to die and will do whatever it takes. It is just a shame that some nut jobs try to blame the police.

Law enforcement is poorly trained to handle people with psychological issues. It's improving in some areas, but not enough. Obviously these parents regret calling 911, and this scenario repeats itself over and over across the country. When the police respond to these situations, it not to help the person who is having issues.

So now they need a a degree in psychology?

I am not a cop….don't have any friends who are cops….but why the constant cop bashing by some? They are for the most part just normal people doing their jobs the best that they can.

It is easy to be treated roughly by the cops. All you have to do is be an idiot and refuse to follow orders. Thats what the vast majority of these so called assault by cops videos are.

Tasers are not without risk, and in certain people, they are very high risk. They were not meant to be used to get homeless people to leave an area. They are not intended to calm down psychotic people who can't understand the officers instructions. They are not for stopping elementary students who have a temper tantrum.

The problem for law enforcement is they are not using tasers the way they were intended. That comes down to training and education. They are touted as a safe alternative to firearms, but when they are not used as intended, they are not safe.

So yeah, they need to have a clue how to do their job. That's on them. They had the guy cuffed and they totally lost it after that. The guy needed medical help, not being tasered 15 times. And maybe don't stand around high fiving on camera after you negligently kill the guy. That's a bad look, especially when people are losing confidence in law enforcement.
