How can "they" tell the passport photo is taken within 30 days? Is that really something to worry about? My fiancee is getting her passport photos taken now, but we wont start filing until July- should she just wait, or is there really nothing to worry about... Mundane question, I know

No. They would never ask for a receipt because that wasn't on the checklist, and it's unimportant other than evidence of bona fida relationship. I don't remember anyone here posts reviews that mentions receipt request on the photos.

Here in Canada, whoever takes the passport picture stamps the back of them. It has the date the picture was taken.

why is she taking her picture now if you won't file until july? gosh, you have a long time ahead of you.....hope you have enough patience

i remember reading your previos post where you said that you want to file now ( or am i wrong) and because you only met once you don't want to risk it so you decided to do it after you go there in july? You can file now and by the time she'll have her interview you'll have enough evidence to show it was more than once because it takes a while to get an interview in Manila and it'll probably be months after july.

Hi..getting passport photos is not a long wait but be it is better to follow the instructions rather than to be sorry after all. My fiance applied I-129F after our first meeting and while waiting for the visa interview, he visited me in Manila 3x so by the time we had our interview, we had lots of proof of relationship submitted like pictures and snail mails.

By the way, it took 7 months after we filed for peition to the interview date.

Why put negative possibilities out there for something "as mundane" as a passport photo? You can do as the instruction state and eliminate one more possibility for problems.

Read instructions and follow instructions will eliminate lots of heartache down the road.

Weird. All my passport photos are a few years old that I've taken to send out for my N-400, and I used it for the petitions too, and my passport. I didn't get any problems.

Back of the photo is stamped by the photographer, it shows when the photo is taken.

No, we changed our minds- we're marrying legally in the Philippines in July so we wont be filing for the K-3 until after that.

Back of the photo is stamped by the photographer, it shows when the photo is taken.

Not from every photographer. That depends on their set-up and equipment.

Unless you use a photographer that date stamps the photos, it is absolutely no problem as long as the person appearing at the interview closely resembles the photograph of the beneficiary/applicant.

i used an old passport pic for the I130 and when it came time for the K3 i did use a new one...i didnt want a red flag to appear!
