Hello everyone!

So excited to say that I just received the update like one hour ago: New card is being produced!

Date of I-751...NOA1 Date....Biometrics.....Approved

12/15/15.....................12/16/15................01/15/16...................05/19/16

Just wanted to share my experience with you :)

We don't have much supporting document, my husband and I didn't have the joint account when I submitted the application back in Dec, 2015. Here's a list of documents that we included in the mail we sent:

  • Filing fee and biometric services fee
  • Form I-751
  • Copy of Permanent Resident Card
  • Affidavits sworn (2)
  • Copy of our joint US tax return for the year 2014
  • Copy of our lease agreement (Apartment)
  • Copy of our life insurances summary showing beneficiary
  • Phone bill – shows lots of phone calls and texts are with my husband
  • Photographs of ourselves and our dog

That's it!

What I was trying to say is, I'm sure the more you have is the better, but I wouldn't worry about it if I don't have much to show. Especially if you're worry about there's no joint bank account, don't, because we didn't provide any bank statement, credit card statement, or things like that. I think a copy of Facebook page can be really useful too if you both use it of course.

Good luck everyone! Hope all the ones that are waiting will soon received the approvals.

xx

Olivia

Quality not quantity by the look of it. Life insurance / lease agreement would tick a few boxes I suspect.

Looks like it takes longer time to get a result at Vermont center, but I'm not quite sure. :( sorry couldn't be more helpful.

Thanks for sharing, Olivia! Congrats!!
I noticed the (relatively) turn around time was for the Cali Center. Just wondering out loud, can we hope the same for Vermont?

This makes me feel a lot better.

Being a relatively young (and poor) couple we wont have a car/car insurance or own a house or have many bank accounts so I always have had this nagging worry about AOS.

I am confident however that we will be able to replicate the same documents you had for our situation so if that was enough to get approved that's great!

Also, congrats of course! haha :dancing:

That gives me so much hope!!! I filed mine at Vermont, though, so I don't know if that makes a difference. We don't have that much stuff as we still live with family so we included joint tax returns, proof of joint health insurance, joint bank account, proof of address (his driver's license and my learner's permit) and train tickets showing that we went on vacations. My name is Olivia, too! :)

Forgot to say... Someone else on here posted that they got approved without an interview and didn't have much evidence, either, so that's very cool!
