Where's Paul Harvey? We need the rest of the story

Might put that in my signature, seems to apply to soooo many posts on here.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

It was indeed my mistake. My wife and I both have personal accounts and we all know them but chose not to meddle on each other. I wish the IO could've given us a chance for another interview or let me explain the discrepancies. Now we are gonna have to re-apply and pay all the fees again knowing they would separate us again next year. SMH!!!

Yes this is our first and only interview. I think the biggest discrepancy was my wife didn't know about my personal account and how much I saved. Also we missed a couple questions like what restaurant we first went, etc.

What?

Also meddling? Most people would call that marriage.

I honestly doubt the bank account was the only reason for the denial as at 10am you said your wife didn't know about your personal account and at 3pm you say she did know about them. A 3 hour long interview that is meant to make people trip up and mess up, most likely found A LOT more than just that since the story at the moment isn't straight as it is, that may just be what stuck with them.

With that said, you should get a lawyer.

Even if there isn't more to the story that YOU think is relevant, doesn't mean that there aren't red flags that USCIS sees as a problem, but you see as normal and just fine. We play by USCIS rules, not by the rules we make for ourselves and what we think is "okay" or "normal" may not be what THEY consider to be the norm.

Hold the phone.

1. Do you and your wife have any kind of joint bank account?

2. If you and your wife have a joint account, do you still have a personal account that you keep separate and haven't told your wife about it?

3. Did you tell the IO about the secret account but not tell your wife? How did they know you had a secret account?

You need to reveal more than you are as you may be helped but all the facts need to be disclosed over here.

Yes, my wife knows about my personal account and the IO asked how much I had but she said she didn't know. When I submitted the application, I couldn't find a joint sponsor so I used my personal assets to self-sponsor but USCIS declined. Finally my friend helped me as being my joint sponsor. The IO questioned about my assets and my joint sponsor a lot. I think he thought I stole money or something. We are interracial couple as it can cause red-flags.

We all have enough co-mingle evidence but he did not look at our photo album at all.

Joint ownership of property and tenancy:

1) Driver’s License address shown

2) Housing leases

Something is not adding up here. Not checking a photo album is irrelevant.

1. Why was you application as a sponsor denied? Did you not make more than the 125% minimum?

2. What was the issue with the joint sponsor? How would stealing money be factored into that situation?

3. Being and interracial couple (like my husband and me) is NOT a red flag. What did the IO say about your races?

4. You have more evidence than many other couples. Not knowing the name of a restaurant and not knowing the exact balance in an account led to a flat out denial? No, there has to be more to this story.

Seems like people who are given a stoke interview for their first interview are being processed very fast. Both of you guys got your interviews shortly after you submitted the applications.

Ours was 71 days from application to interview in 2012. The original poster said it took 15 months to receive his interview.

I should add, if you look at the rest of my timeline you will see that our whole process was fast, and it had nothing to do with the style of interview they chose for us. Our office is fast.
