I noticed so many people get emails about their immigration cases .. how can I sign up for one?

If you go to the USCIS website

https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp

Create a customer account. You should have a code / case number from USCIS, have that to hand.

Login to your account and you should be able to "add" a case to your portfolio, add the case number USCIS gave you in the NOA1 and select "email updates"

does it matter that my case is no longer with uscis but nvc?????????

if you want an update about your case from NVC, you should make an inquiry thru e-mail and they will reply after 2-3 days...

everytime you make an inquiry put your case number on the subject line and on your message include the following : Petitioner's name and date of birth, Beneficiary's name and date of birth....

they will just reply to your e-mails....

they will not send you updates on a regular basis if that's what your askin'
