Moving to another country while K1 is pending?

Is this looked down upon in the K1 process and/or interview?

My fiance and I want to move to Mexico (he's Californian) and we were wondering if it would look negative.
Although, it would be evident that I do have immigrant intent into the USA (based on the K1 pending petition) it would be a different country. It's a vacation in another country, especially if it's non-stop from Canada to Mexico.

Thanks.

Moving? Like, for how long?

As in, the USC petitioner will be giving up residence in the USA and taking one up in Mexico? That's a problem, because to sponsor and immigrant visa you must have US residency or evidence that you're re-establishing one.

If it's just a long vacation, then no problem. You'll want someone to check your mail and such to check on the status and so you'll be able to return to Canada to do your medical and interview. If you decide to take the vacation and are making a connection through a US border, just make sure you have the connecting flight information handy if they ask to see it.

Would be helpful to mention - yes, 3 months I will be moving. He's actually spending half the week there, as he has work the other half. So, definitely not giving up his US residency whatsoever.

So, not living at my given Canadian residence won't matter? Like you've stated, it's a long vacation. I will bring NOA1 copy, bank statements and such just in case officers ask for them. Being denied to the USA previously won't affect my eligibility of entering Mexico non-stop from Canada?

Mexico doesnt care about your immigration issues with the USA.

Do you mean moving like living there without any ties to Canada or do you mean visiting? Like being someplace but returning back Canada? Like a vacation but not moving all your things and possessions?

Visiting there, vacationing for 3 months. Not moving all of my things at all, no. Returning to Canada on a return ticket which I'll show at the airport.

Okay just clarifying that you're not "moving" you're going on an extended vacation. I know it sounds weird, but when you do this immigration stuff, you learn to be really specific and clear about what you're saying. Especially when you talk to other country's immigration officials.

Yeah. +1 NLR. You're just going on a long trip. Not moving. In immigration processes, it's important to use the right words, because the wrong ones can cause accidental problems.

What will I need to bring for documentation to visit Mexico for 3 months? I am told my passport and flight itinerary, that's it - anything else?

Nope. Mexico does not care about anything else. For Canadians, a valid passport and flight itinerary is sufficient.
