Last two RCP-included polls show Trump leading Clinton

I think Sanders is staying in the race because he's a crotchety old man and no one has the heart to tell him that it's over. I'm not seeing Bernie fans deciding to vote Drumpf when Bernie finally caves to reality, but I could see Bernie fans not voting at all or assisting Drumpf by writing in Sanders come election vote time.

I'm also sitting on my primary ballot trying to figure out how the two parties have given me no decent choices. I will take write in selections if anyone has a good one.

Well, it was two polls, and if you check the link there is a very nice trend chart on the same page. Shows last July Trump was obliterated by Clinton. Then in September he had closed the gap and since then they have flirted close to parity with an average ~4 point favor to Clinton except for this past march where she was well ahead again and that lead has been consistently shrinking since. This is why RCP gives a 3.1 favor to her now.

Trump has received a good bump since he became the presumptive nominee. Once Sanders quits the race I am guessing Clinton will get a bump as well.

I actually think Sanders is staying in the race as long as possible because he knows there is a chance Clinton will be torpedoed by something (e.g. indictment), so it can't hurt to hang on a bit longer.

I think you analysis is fairly correct but if you compare Fox poll to Fox poll you don't see a big bump for Trump.

Rassmussen in my opinion since Rassmussen left is worthless and is promoting an agenda ( not that other polls dont have error or bias). They were miles off in the last three elections. There is no way that Hillary has 37 %

Or you could join the 40% of eligible voters…who don't even vote. All this talk from the left about voter id cards disenfranchising voters never are concerned about 4 out of 10 voters who are already disenfranchised and or are exercising their right to not vote.. Then you have others like yourself who feel they must vote even though there is nobody they want to vote for. I didn't vote in the last two elections because nobody inspired me enough to go vote for them.

The DNC decided it was time for a woman president. No regard for any men that may have been better. Look at Sanders….does not have many reasonable policies….but he has inspired many simply because he….and I think the main reason…..he is not crooked hillary. Who wants to be told…this is your democrat choice for president. We are so smart that we will decide for you. Bernie goes from place to place and gives the same message. He doesn't pander to voters, depending what the polls say. Look at his gun stance as far as suing manufactures. Not a great liberal policy…..but at least he sticks by it.

Not only that….but it pains most people to listen and watch crooked hillary. I can't watch her. I can watch Sanders even though I believe his policies are much worse.

Nature Boy is preferable to both major Party candidates on my ballot. This is a primary ballot so not voting is somewhat different from not voting when the actual election rolls around.

I couldn't even figure out why we got ballots in Washington state if we already have the caucus...i didn't fill mine out. I have never been asked in Washington state to declare a party on a ballot

RCP now averaging Trump .2 % ahead of Hillary, after an ABC News/Washington Post shows him 2% ahead.

I do hope democrats stay in denial and keep laughing him off, though.

It will be interesting to see what happens once Sanders falls off. Hopefully he damages Clinton more before he leaves but I doubt it's anything sticking.

The only thing most of us have been right about for a while is that this will be a very interesting summer and fall !
