Does anyone know if I can go to any DMV in NJ to get my state id or do I have to go to the closest one to our place?

Sorry if you find it silly...

Theres no such thing as a silly question , only silly answera, lol.

Anyways i would suggest for convenience just go to the nearest DMV to where you live. Depending how busy they are , we had a DMV office in our town and the powers that be decided it was not viable to continue running it so they closed it down , now we have to travel a mere 20 miles to the nearest one , distance wise its nothing for here , but its just the hassle of trying to park etc.

Go to the DMV website and look for the nearest one to your state and zipcode , and good luck

I believe you can go to any DMV in your state of residence, but like duluxdog has pointed out, the closest one would probably be the best choice (minimizing hassle of going through traffic, etc etc).
