Close to my house these stores a popping up like, well weeds

Here is a sample of names:

White Rabbit (one side makes you small)

Ganja Goddess

Hashtag

High on 99 ( on Highway 99 its pun)

A greener today

Bud Commander

The Kushery

It has to be the growth retail niche, my town has more bud joints than Starbucks

eventually, the market will get saturated and a bunch of those retails niches will disappear. imo, that's what's happening right now with craft beer niches. probably moreso in States like Virginia that are still a ways away from being able to play in the retail weed market. it's all about having a catchy brand name and label, beer in the bottle is secondary.

Profanities (avoiding site's word-filter with use of alternative characters) have been edited from a post and a quote of it. Further transgressions by anyone in any thread will result in stronger action.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

I had a very interesting conversation last weekend at my high school reunion with a classmate -- a Houston lawyer -- who is involved with the Texas legalisation movement. He's of the opinion that it will happen in Texas fairly soon, and that those who want a share of the sure to be gigantic market need to start thinking about how to be a first mover.

oh i know! i'm saying there's not as much room for national brands and local breweries are battling fiercely for consumer loyalty. craft beer drinkers aren't so much about being loyal to a brand, but constantly trying new..

Decriminalize leads in short order to legality I should think. If you google "since portugal gave up war drugs" you'll find a lot of articles in support of it. I don't do any drugs btw and have no intention of ever starting. The criminal justice system in the US is atrocious, though. It has to be the worst in the civilized world. Because we have [those] who refuse to give an inch and realize what's been tried isn't working.

portugal is a good example, for sure. but i don't think many americans realize just how detrimental our 'war on drugs' has been to the economy.

i would like to see the legalization of all drugs. adults should be "allowed" to ingest whatever substance they want, plus it would significantly reduce business for cartels, kingpins, etc etc.. and if addiction becomes an issue with an individual, that person should always be treated from a medical perspective - not judicial.

Yup I'm familiar with the Portuguese experience and I agree, it is ridiculous that some just don't realize that the "war on drugs" does not work. I also don't do any drugs currently, I have smoked weed several times in my teens because who doesn't. Even in my early 20's...it led to some umm interesting r rated night time fun...but anyhow, my wife does have a medical marijuana card so we have it at home 100% of the time and I never touch it, just not into it anymore. Even before she had that we would still always have it on hand for her pain(she would just do it illegally) and I still couldn't care less about it being around. My stance on legalization of all drugs is that if it grows in nature - like weed for instance, it should be kosher. Yes even heroine. That's because I believe we are not to decide that certain plants were not put on this earth for a reason. I know it sounds like I just smoked something myself, but it makes sense to me. Think about it like a video game where you find all those potions and stuff - who's to say cannabis was not put here so that we use it in order to help - with pain, with fighting cancer cells, etc? Why does everything have to be chemicals from big pharmaceutical companies?

But that takes me to my next point - if it is not grown in nature, if it is man made like say meth, it should not be legal IMHO.
