hey everybody we are waiting for 9 months now and they havent touched our case since july,that is very frustrating .called them and they sent us a letter mentioning call us back after three months.lot of people after us getting approved . very annoying but what can we do just waiting game on............................. zack

It is very frustrating. If you are close to an Infopass office location, I strongly suggest going in there. They might not be able to tell you a whole lot, but then again they might tell you something shocking like they told us. Had we not gone in, our case would have been forgotten forever. It's worth the time and hopefully they can nudge it along.

OMG!!! Absolutely ridiculous! But we always knew things were nutty with USCIS. Thank goodness you pursued the InfoPass appointment.

I'm with you two though - I bet it was approved and archived. Somebody got the "Advance to Go" card and forgot to hand out your approval letter etc.

Well - here's hoping for some happy Christmas news!

I'm really hoping so, too. It wouldn't make sense to archive a file that never got a final decision...but then again, it doesn't make sense to archive a file that was approved without actually notifying the applicant that it was approved. I guess we'll find out in a month or so. Hopefully for Christmas...that would be fantastic news. :) Then we could go to England for our birthdays in February and not have to reapply for EAD. <3

I went to infopass and have BIO for EAD yesterday. Found out that my EAD got approved since Nov 29 but waiting for Bio. Unfortunately no luck for AOS,still pending and they dont know why it's pending. The officer at infopass told me that usually they take 2 years to get an approval for AOS application.

Oh well,at least I have EAD... :blush:

Darn. I was hoping to hear good news. The officer at infopass is wrong. It doesn't take that long for everyone. But the good news is that if it DOES take two years, you'll get a 10 year greencard instead of a two year!!!!!

No news for us. :( We didn't really expect to hear anything over the holidays, so we scheduled another Infopass for the 15th to see what's going on. It's upsetting because they say to submit your application for EAD renewal 6 months before it expires now and...well...that's now! My husband didn't even get his EAD card until almost August and his AOS case is being held up because of their own incompetencies. We don't want to spend that $350 or so just because they suck.

Grumble. At least we're finally taking our honeymoon! We'll be in the US Virgin Islands for the next week. I hope we don't have any travel problems.
