Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing

I wonder if they count the original receipt date or the date it was received in California.

Either way, I'm sure we have a while to wait. :\

I'm pretty sure they go by the receipt date on the NOA. Mine says March 16th. And guess what? I got a touch on September 19th!!! That's the first one in five months! I had been completely ignoring the USCIS status page because it had become disheartening, so it came as a complete shock when I logged in and saw that they'd been working on my application after all. The only problem is that now I'm wondering if I'm going to be sent an RFE or if they're actually going to send me a greencard. Or maybe they're just going to stick it back in a drawer again for another 5 months. sheesh. :bonk:

thanks for that info...i thought the same thing you had to go by the noa1....i guess they want some extra time.....you know what makes me a little upset watching people who sent in their application after me and a. got transferd and approved in like 4 months or b. sent in the application and have a interview in October/november...at this point we will take a interview....sorry just have a little bit of frustration....

Nannygirl, I hear ya. It does get frustrating seeing others being approved quickly. When I found myself getting grumpy I chose to focus on helping others instead. It took my mind off myself and gave me strength. Then I turned back into a happy person again. Oh. It also helps not to check other people's timelines or your case status too. ;):lol:

this is true!!!!! i am starting to put a lot of time into my pregnancy...so i am not as crazy with the gc.....

Sorry, but I did not realize that you are expecting. I don't pay any attention to people's signatures so I didn't look at yours until you mentioned you were pregnant. How wonderful.
