I'm beginning to wonder if I should look into booking an infopass too. If I am caught up in namecheck hell (and honestly, since I am going on 4.5 months now, then I don't see what else it could be) then I am thinking I should get an AP app in before the rates go up in a few weeks.

Hmmmm. How soon will they let you book an infopass (after filing, I mean)?

Still no EAD. It was supposedly resent on Monday, but we'll see. :| We don't really know what to do at this point. Wait? Infopass? It's ridiculous.

This has got to be so frustrating. I'm so sorry. :(

Still no any touch for me since May 21. Should I do infopass? or it's just waste of time.... :crying:

With an infopass, there's always the hope of getting some more information or at least knowing that they can look your case up on the computer and see that it is still there. If you were in Des Moines, I wouldn't recommend an infopass because it just makes you more frustrated however.

I got touched daily for the last two days. it has been a long time since i was touched. I am really hoping to hear about a approval soon. I am afraid. could it that they are still screening the FBI stuff??

We're still at Missouri because of name checks after almost 4.5 months. Our last touch was 6/26 when our EAD was approved so I'm guessing a part of the name checks were completed then and now we are in the next step of name checks (whatever that is).

Our good news is that our EAD was approved on 6/26 and we got the card on 7/5. With the EAD card my husband was able to get his driver's license (after 3 attempts each for the written and driving tests  ). Getting the driver's license seemed to be a big step in giving my husband a feeling of more independence.

It is definitely frustrating especially playing this waiting game. My application got transferred to California. With its reputation of rapid approval, they are taking forever. Maybe these name checks are going more through especially with all of the incidents that happened in London. I even thought about seeing what the criteria for expediting. I am definitely hoping my wife gets her greencard soon. Should i get an Infopass appointment?? It is really frustrating for her, because she is stuck at home, unable to drive, nor unable to work. All of that is dependent upon her greencard...It is a vicious cycle.

Still no EAD and they say we can't request a new one until July 30th. Fantastic!

We do have an Infopass appointment on the 24th to request an interim EAD. They probably don't give them at the office, but hopefully they can ensure that one is sent within a few days after the appointment. We need the money badly and we've waited far too long.

At the IP appointment, I'm going to ask if we're stuck in namechecks. Most likely. Boo.

It's absolutely ridiculous that you have to wait until July 30th. I'd like to see any one of them go for so many months without a paycheque.
