Hi all. I am happy to say we were approved. Our appointment was at 12:30 and we got there at 12. The worst part was the stupid security guard. He seemed to think he was a god. We went through security and then had to wait about 15 minutes for someone to take us upstairs to the interview. When he looked at the letter he said, I'm sorry, but your interview has changed. My heart dropped. I thought we'd have to come back another day, but then he said you are now going to the third floor.

We were the only ones in the waiting area. We waited maybe 10 minutes max for the interviewer to come get us. He made causal conversation. How long was our drive, etc. When we got in his office he had us swear to tell the truth and then started asking questions. Nothing hard. He wanted to know how we met and then turned to me and asked simple things like my name, address, how much money I made last year. The whole time he had a red pen and was checking off on my application when I answered.

Then he asked my husband the same type of questions. He also asked the "No" questions and my husband's English isn't that good, so he would repeat in simple English so he could understand.

After the general info questions he wanted to see evidence of the relationship. He did not even want to look at the photos, but took a few bills and my benefits info from work.

After that he said we were approved and we would get the green card in 5 weeks. He did not take our A/P or EAD card so I didn't bother to push him for a stamp in the passport.

Good luck to you all still waiting.

Still no EAD card. This is getting to be ridiculous.

same here. and what i find really odd is that i got two "card production ordered" emails -- one last june 7 and another yesterday. does this mean i'll be getting two cards?! heheh :P

Same thing happened to me,, must be a crazy factory line out there at the USCIS

Still no EAD card. This is getting to be ridiculous.

I know this is nuts, I received another "ead card production ordered" email from CRIS today, which doesnt make sense coz i received the same email on 6/7, 5 days back.

Same here - I received 'card production ordered' for EAD on the 7th, and then another e-mail yesterday 12th.

I also saw the EAD was touched again today too.

:luv: nice to know I was not the only one with double e-mails

me too! they sent me email on the 12th saying they ordered EAD card production for me and just today, i got the same email.

Hi all! Just back from 3 weeks in Florida with limited internet connection. We did find a local university with public wirelss we could drive to periodically to continue the obsessive checking with USCIS. Here is the lastest with us:

AOS was touch 3 consecutive days in May then again on June 6, but nothing yet.

We did recieved a RFE on the AP and EAD. A friend was checking the mail so I had him look for it and open and read it to us over the phone. It sounded like all they were asking for was a copy of the I-94 and Visa (which we had sent) so I thought great we will just send another copy.

But when we returned home yesterday I read the whole thing it was asking for proof my husband had registered with NSEERS. (Certain aliens from a handful of countries have to register with ICE. This means ICE takes fingerprints and a photograph). Evidence that we registered should include but is not limited to the 1-94 and visa.

From the language on the RFE, it appears we might be exempt from this registration but for the RFE we then have to submit a letter explaining all this and give supporting evidence. Its all new to me and we are still trying to sort it out. There is an ICE office just down the street from me but I do not know if they allow the public to go and ask questions (we are going to try this morning) and we made an info pass for Monday with USCIS. Its disappointing because this is adding days for the approval.

If that darn AOS would just be approved we wouldn't need to worry about the EAD. I have no idea if the registration for NSEERS with interfer with the AOD processing though. ARRRGGGGG

Congratulations to all the good news while we were away.

Thanks! NSEERS applys to nonimmigrant visa holders (like students, workers tourists ect) from about 13 countries sothat they are registered with the government when they are in the US. Since the K-1 is technically a non-immigrant visa it would have applied to my husband but once he filed for AOS , he isn't required. We sent a letter explaining everything with copies of all the documents we could think of. Let's hope they like what we sent.
