I would just wait and go for the biometrics when you get the letter, when you go for the biometrics doesn't really speed anything up.

Nothing else for me yet!

That is what i have been imagining- They pull it out and giggle at the many amusements, only to then say "Well, we might as well approve him" ^_^

We sent I-130/AOS/EAD all together to Chicago on March 30th via Fedex. It was delivered on April 2nd!

Now my question: Once you create a user ID/account on the USCIS site, do they automatically notify you of the status, or do you have to get a receipt letter in the mail first in order to track your case online?

I noticed where it says to "add a case to your portfolio" on the tracking page. Just wondered how it works.

Crossing my fingers for smooth sailing

Congratulations on your filing!

In a few days - perhaps in a week or so, you'll receive Notices of Action for each of the items filed. On the NOAs will be "Receipt #s" - 13 figures beginning with 3 letters -- e.g., MSC-XX-XXX-XXXXX.

These are the case #s you can begin tracking online.

Sometimes - the numerals on the back of your cashed checks will match your receipt numbers. This was not the situation for me -- the #s on the back of my checks did not match my case #s.

Good luck!

06/24/09 - card production email rec'd

07/06/09 - 10 year green card rec'd!

You will get them in regular mail. The emails only come after you add cases to your online porfolio and check yes to receive email updates. Keep in mind that sometimes the emails are not sent out and the status onlineis not updated yet you will have an approval. That happened for us on the K-1 visa.

Oh and Congratulations for getting it in the mail!
