My fiancee has to give notice so he also will not get on the first plane he will follow about 4 months after issuance while he gets his affairs in order. If they were approved in March as there timeline states they have till September 2016

In most cases it's 6 months after the MEDICAL date that the K-1 visa is valid, not just 6 months from the approval date. I'm not sure if France is that way, but many are.

This is not accurate. A K-1 is a one-use visa. It expires as soon as you enter the US.

Correct. Don't you also get a stamp in your passport when you arrive that shows the date when your 90 days are up?

Your visa is valid for 6 months from the date of your medical. Embassy's have been known to move that date to less than 6 months. Check your visa in your passport to insure your compliant.

Once you arrive in the States print off your I-94 and you will have it for the determination of the 90 days and for social security.

The typical expiration date is 6 months but forget that and look at your visa expiration date. That is all that matters.

If your visa expires on June 14, don't give yourself a small room. If your visa expires before you enter the USA (due to flight delays, missed connection, cancellation), you will have yourself to blame and be turned around.

The medical is valid for 6 months, but it doesnt have to do with visa. If the medical time has past, all what you have to do is to repeat it when you gi in usa at a medical center that is known by uscis, ( you can find online the nearest in your area)

P,s. As much as i remember they are available for one year, not 6 months, but I am not sure in this. Must read the form instruction of I-693

My Petition Expired Can It Be Extended?

The I-129F petition is valid for four months from the date of approval by USCIS. A consular officer can extend the validity of the petition if it expires before visa processing is completed.

I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status.I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. If you are a K-1, K-2, K-3 or K-4 visa holder the I-693 instructions state that you are not required to have another medical examination as long as your Form I-485 is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination. If you are missing any shots from your overseas medical a I-693 vaccination transcription is required to be completed by seeing a Civil Surgeon to have certain portions of the I-693 completed and have the Civil Surgeon certify the form (sealing the original in an envelope and giving you a copy).

Myself, I was into one year, but I messed some shots that I havent done in my country. They know here, just find the pleace.

Note. Some shots you can do in public health care, and do not have to spend money at the medical center that is k own from uscis

Ex: I paid only 10 $ for it, instead at the other center ( which of course was a privat one) they asked for 200 $

Rediculos, :) but true, they have their rights,

Before going to that center, go to public health care and do there as much shots as you miss

Not true. If they marry after 90 days, they can still stay in the US and file for AOS. They will just need to file an I-130 too.

The OP is not asking about extending their I-129F petition approval. The are asking about entering the US a day before the expiration date on their K-1 visa. And the expiration date on the visa does have to do with the K-1 medical. It has nothing to do with the I-693 and what you need for AOS though.

To make it clear, the time to get married is 90 days NOT 3 months (which can be 90-92 days dependent upon the month you enter the country) from arrival to the USA. So many comments saying it is 3 months...

As to the rest, refer to what KayDeeCee has stated and be aware also of the actual date you arrive in the US as, earlier pointed out, depending on which way you travel to the US it is possible that you lose a day and arrive after expiration of K1 (If you are leaving your flight to the US 1 day prior to expiration)

and the flight from France is overnight

if you leave on the 13th you will get here the 14th

any delays can really hurt your visa

Most flights leave in the day and you're traveling West... so landing a couple hours after your departure because of the time zones.
