OMG! I see monkeys. (sp)

I think they're meerkats....not sure though.

Great site, Sharon. I'm hooked.

Edit - just got a closer look...not meerkats after all!

That's what I said to hubby when he said "I see a munkeh!". Then I had a closer look and they appear to be baboons (?) or something similar! How great is this eh? :D

They look like coyotes. What are they?

No coyotes in Africa :P I think they are Jackals. Found a species in South Africa that looks like them: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackal

I know, I was wondering what they are and said they look like coyotes.

I saw one take a dump!

eww....glad I wasn't looking right then  We were at the Orange County Zoo a few weeks back, and a bear came up to the fence of his cage, turned his behind straight towards us, and proceeded to demostrate that bears do indeed sh!t in the woods :dead:

That's better than having a lion piss on the audience to mark his terrirory. I never knew being in the front row could be so foul.

When did that happen? Or do I really want the details? :help:

I believe that was the lion incident of '89 when I was 6.

All I had last night was a black & white shot of the watering hole (I think it was something playing on a loop - I definitely didn't get the panning/zooming that people were talking about)... then I made it open in Quicktime instead and actually got colour, and movement... lots of panning around before settling on the waterhole again, but... still no animals. Although I did see a couple of birds fly past, to convince me it wasn't a still shot!

Then... I woke up this morning to see a whole load of gazelles sitting around. Yay!!!!!

Not seen anything since then, though - just seems to be the (very un-frequented) watering hole again... but lots and lots of animal/bird noises that keep making me jump!! I hope I don't have a frozen picture or something. :(

Definitely not a frozen pic for me, there have been birds flapping in and out, insects and.......warthogs running around in the background. w00t!

No fair! I want warthogs! I can hear all kinds of freakish growlings and snufflings and some unidentified creature with what sounds like a bad case of indigestion... but no change in the pic!

Oh, hang on.... there's a ton of glare on the lens suddenly - at least I know it's not frozen!!

Now, where's my warthog....??

There! Did you see the hogs running around on the plain behind the water?

Nnnnnooooooo!!! I looked back just in time to see some vague shadows moving around back there, but they could have been anything! Then I saw a bird flapping about. Bah. Stupid bird. I want warthogs.

Right, that's it, I'm not moving from this thing for the rest of the day! (even though I seem to have lost sound now... hmmm....)

nice site sister sharon...

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
