Did you provide the acceptance letter from the university?

This is what they require and to see that you have the funds to pay first semester ? even for community college it is required to have $18000 in savings for college / not just tuition but housing and food costs are added into this amount

and a big university tuition is a lot more than $18000

also big universitys such as you mention have a legal department that does the work for student visas such as Cornell University where i graduated

the fact that you are applying for yourself is a red flag

apply to the university of your choice, get accectped, pay the initial fee to keep your place in that college and then give the university legal department all the info to process your student visa

It was clearly mentiomed on my i-20 that i need to pay $8k rest will be covered by loan, i had bank statemnts with me showing more than enough funds but he didn't asked me for evindence or docs.

The I-130 and the number of hours/courses were probably the main issues. And since your I-20 probably stated the minimum number of hours/credits/... per semester then the I-130 was it. It suggests immigrant intent even when filed in your name.

Not so

How proximate is the Uni to your family in the US?

did the interviewing officer asked you about your petitioned filed for you, or you mentioned it in the application?

once immigrant petition filed, cannot be granted non-immigrant visa.

I mentioned it in the application, and filling I-130 doesn't automatically disqualify me for non immigrant visa as it can take upto 13 years.

I know doesnot disqualify you,and its not written anywhere, but petition filed is usually considered red flag for non-immigrant visa especially from Pakistan

One is to immigrate, the other is a temp study situation, I ma sure there are alternates, a big world.

An F1 visa is typically for students planning to study full time. Saying that you only have to do one course a month raises a red flag. Your pending I-130 shows immigrant intent. There are no two ways around that. Have you considered studying in another country?
