Hi Everyone,

Currently going through the AOS stuff for my K1. I have just been approved for my EAD and Travel Document and they have an expiration of 1 year as of May 3rd.

Want to clarify acouple things.... My AOS is at a status of Scheduling an interview, so once this process is completed and I have the AOS done am I required to reapply for the EAD and Travel stuff when they are about to expire? or finishing my AOS does that mean I no longer require the EAD and Travel stuff because I have a valid AOS?

And how often will I need to reapply for things on the AOS Side?

Once your AOS is approved, you will become a permanent resident and mailed a permanent residence card(green card). US permanent residents are able to work in the US and travel abroad and re-enter. The EAD/AP will no longer be valid or needed. Those are for use during the period of time you are waiting for your AOS to be adjudicated.

Within the 90 day window before your 2 year green card expires, you will need to file an I-751 to remove conditions and receive a 10 year green card. You can search the USCIS site and here to find more details on that process.

Is there cost to remove conditions after 2 years? And with the 10 year card that's something I will need to do then every 10 years?
