I'm quite sure someone somewhere has been faced with this challenging situation. My contract for my current job ends on May 31, 2016. I will actually be paid until July 31, 2016. I'm working on securing employment before August 1, 2016. There is a strong possibility that my fiance will have her in June or July of this year. We are trying to figure out how to deal with this change. Of course, when we filed the petition back in march there was no indication that my contract would be no contract renewal. We are, like I said faced with a challenging matter here. My employer, on May 3 did give me a letter showing my salary, my position, and the name of the business. The letter also states that I've been employed by the company since 2014.

Do any of you know people who has dealt with a similar situation and how did they handle or resolved it?

I am in a similar position I work on 1099 contract based projects. Our interview is on 7th June I sent my fiancee last two years of tax return transcript, recent project agreements, statement from bank showing deposits made last year and property information. I believe that should be enough to prove support.

For the Philippines, USEM requires your most recent tax return and W-2, employer letters are optional (and can be a plus when having a new employer).

Over the last couple years USEM has been sporadic about asking for evidence of support. As said it is listed as required in the USEM instructions letter, but quite often not asked for as of late.

If you do not have a new employer by interview time you could consider a co-sponsor. USEM does not have to accept a co-sponsor with the K-1 visa, when they do they require it be a close family member (parents, siblings)
