If you meet the income based on the 2016 guidelines, for JAmaica Embassy banking info is not necessary. You just need a letter from employer, six months of checkstubs, your W-2's, and tax transcripts as verification. These are submitted at the interview.

The form needs your Annual Gross Income. This is the amount you make before taxes. Thankfully I recently got a raise at my job and they gave me a signed letter with what my new Annual Gross Income is. Makes it very easy to fill out the form.

If you aren't sure, and don't have a recent document like I do, if you have your last year W-2 you want to provide the first line of information. That will be your Annual Gross Income.

What does your packet 3 letter tell you to submit as verification of income? It says more than taxes. JA looks at last year's income and current year's income in determining your eligibility based on income guidelines.

It is easier to provide them the documents, than to get a 221g asking for the documents, resulting in your petition approval being delayed or worse, they tell you to get a co-sponsor.

I have some related questions. Should the annual income data on the affidavit of support question number 7 exactly the same as the amount of income in the latest IRS/W-2?
