I'm USA. My wife is from Colombia and never been to the USA.

We've been married 5/05. I filed an I-130 2/06, California screwed up the I-130 and thinks she's here with me. They wouldn't for nothing move the I-130 to the NVC. I filed an I-824. 1 year later 2/07 they moved the papers to the NVC.

My wife doesn’t have an ss# or nothing but I've supported her 100%. Can I claim her on my taxes this year?

I am not a tax expert. But to claim anyone on your taxes usually requires a SSN# of the person you are claiming. It is best to check with someone who specializes in this field or contact the IRS directly and ask. It would be nice to claim your wife if it is possible ;)

Ugo1st,

No, you cannot "claim" her, but you and she can file a joint tax return. Include the application for her to get an ITIN (Form W-7, if I recall correctly) with the tax return.

See www.IRS.gov

You can file married filing jointly and take the spousal deduction. Apply for an ITIN using the W7 form. You can even apply for it at the same time you file your taxes. If you file state taxes too, call and find out how to handle the lack of an SSN with them.
