You'll need evidence of bona fide mariage while filing for 10 year green card. The process is called Removal of conditions (ROC). When you file for ROC you will get a divorce waiver to file singly and you have to provide evidence that your marriage was bona fide. Do a search on the forum for what kind of evidence you will require.

Marriage to another US citizen will not help you with your ROC application. You will still have to do it singly.

You are not even divorced, yet and you're already thinking about another marriage?

I hate to live alone, that's why thinking about 2nd marriage if separation happened. I wish things will go alright though.

We entered in a good faith, just wondering how much percent ROC would be accepted ?

From all the posts that I have been reading lately similar to this situation, it seems you don't need to worry about ROC if you have enough evidence of a real marriage. Just follow the advice and guidelines. You have been a member on here since 2014 so I would be surprised if you don't already know the answers. I will give you a personal observation however. My observation concerns what you are saying in your post and I apologize if I am misinterpreting the situation. However, your words are far more concerned with your ROC chances than your marriage. I'm not going to judge but don't be surprised when the responses you get to your posting are a little harsh. You say there are events and you say they are not in your control. I would suggest time spent fixing what is wrong with your marriage first is your priority. If you stay married your worries are over right? If all you are only concerned about your ROC and GC and not your marriage then you're wasting emotional energy that might be used in fixing the marriage problems you are experiencing.

I appreciate your post and advice. I never looked into this section of divorce. I wanna stay married and when things start fall a part, I just wanted to make sure I am not going to be deported and ruin my life with such a decision. I don't wanna be under her control esp. she keeps saying you married me for the GC. And from the beginning she said she would be happy by making me a US resident. she is using this tool as a bad thing now. I hope things would work out great between us. Its like up and down, that's why I said I have no control over it. Now I feel more secure when I can apply for ROC single and chance of acceptance is high as you said. Thanks again for reassurance

It never fails to shock me when someone brings up marrying another USC at the first sign of difficulties in the marriage they're in, what happened to the love you both claimed through the immigration process? does it disappear with the arrival of a green card?

Asking the question makes it appear that the green card is more important than the marriage which is sad :(

Please no need to judge our case by just few words I wrote down. You're missing a lot of the story. You can read part of my answers to some people down in this thread. Marriage for 2nd time is not a shame if things didn't work out on first one. Asking about the GC thing is not despicable, as I need to know how my life would be look like in the future. Its never wrong to be well oriented about the good and bad things may or may not happen in your life. As people say, hope for the best and plan for the worst.

If your marriage fails, the best option would be return to your home country to resume your life in familiar environment.

It appears that your concern is more about immigrating permanently to US of A versus marriage as one of the readers (trudi) pointed out - "what happened to the love you both claimed through the immigration process? does it disappear with the arrival of a green card?"
