NVC Processing and Interview Scheduling

Hi everyone. A couple quick questions.

1. When the NVC says please allow 30 days to process (DS-260,AOS...) does that mean 30 real days or 30 working days?

2. Regarding the US Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia, when it is time to have the interview, does this embassy give options for dates and times like a NIV, or do they just tell you the date and time?
