I'm a U.S citizen by birth and my spouse is a Nigerian trying to come to the U.S

Someone told me my wife needs to obtain a police certificate from all the places that she's resided in in Nigeria "If Required" (meaning that it might not be required)

How do I know if the police certificate is required or not required?

What happens if I don't include this police certificate in the supporting documents that I'll be mailing to NVC?

What happens if I check off "unavailable" or "not applicable" for the police certificate?

A Police Character Certificate (Police Report) is required no way to get around that. She needs a Nigerian Police report Not one for every place in Nigerian. If he is in Lagos she can go to the main headquarters in Algabon and receive same day its about N5000.

If she is else where in Nigeria she can just got to any Police station and fill out the form to request her police Report get fingerprinted and receive.

If you don;t include n your IV package you will be checklisted and sit at NVC until you send it in.

Why would it be unavailable its very easy to get in Nigeria.I

Has she lived in any other country since age 16 fora year or more? If so she has to get a PCC from that country also.
